The Bay Waves app and chesbaywaves.com
Bay Waves is run by one person. If something is broken, looks wrong, or you have a question about the app or a subscription, send a message below and it comes straight to me. Leave your email if you would like a reply.

Join the groupEverything here is computer model output, and models can be wrong, late or missing. The data status page shows when each product last updated. If one has stopped, it is usually back within a few hours. Always check the official NWS marine forecast before you launch. If a number looks wrong at a particular spot, tell me where and when: that is the most useful message I get.
In the iPhone app, one saved spot is free. Bay Waves Plus, a monthly or yearly subscription, adds more saved spots and puts your saved spots on Apple Watch faces. The forecasts, the map and the downwind runs are free for everyone, with or without it.
Open the Spots tab, tap Get Bay Waves Plus beside Saved, then tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought it with.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so I cannot see or change them.
If a subscription lapses, your saved spots are kept, not deleted. The extra ones are locked until you subscribe again.
Saved spots are kept on your devices, not in an account, because there are no accounts. In the app they live on your iPhone and your watch. On the website they live in your browser: on an iPhone, the website saved to the Home Screen and the same site in Safari keep separate lists, so a spot saved in one does not appear in the other.
Your saved spots appear in that list while Bay Waves Plus is active.
The app has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and nothing about a purchase reaches this site. The details are in the Terms & Privacy.
The site and the app are free, with no ads. If you would like to help with the running costs, pick up a shirt.
